01Pronunciation · Japanese
For Japanese, you may keep the original word in kana or kanji while writing your personal sound note in a script you know. Practice a short expression in context. Your note need not match a romanization system; revisit the original recording to refine it yourself.
02Listen first
Choose one word or short phrase from a conversation or a reliable recording. Keep its meaning and the speaker’s region in mind. Listen again before you decide how to write the sound.
03Make your own sound note
Put the meaning on the front and your personal sound note on the back. Use any script that helps you. Original spelling is optional. LangoFlip never generates or corrects your personal notation.
04Learn
Choose 5–25 cards per round. Reveal the back before answering. “I knew it” removes a card from this round; “Practice again” returns it to the queue. Only the separate archive action moves a card out of active learning.
05Regional varieties
A country tag is a collection label, not a claim that everyone there speaks alike. Keep separate notes for different speakers. Compare original audio and its context before drawing conclusions about a regional variety.
