We store your email address, a password hash, account dates, languages, cards, sound notes, optional notes, daily words, review history and settings to provide your private learning account. Your learning content is private by default and is not used for advertising targeting.
Sharing is optional. A view link lets anyone with the link read and copy active cards, including meanings, sound notes and original spelling. Private notes, email addresses and learning history are excluded. A separate editing invitation lets signed-in users join as editors and add, change or archive cards. The owner can revoke invitations, individual editors or the entire share. The owner can see editors’ account addresses to manage access. Copies already saved in another account remain independent after access ends.
Necessary session and security cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. Your browser caches static app files; private cards are not stored in that cache. IP addresses are processed for connection handling and abuse prevention. The host may keep technical access and error logs. No analytics or Google advertising code is currently loaded.
Hosting and account emails use ALL-INKL services in Germany. Verification and password-reset emails contain time-limited links. These are account messages, not marketing emails. Authorized operators and service providers can access data only as needed to run, secure or recover the service.
You can download your data and delete your account in Settings. Data remains while your account exists; deletion removes the account and its learning data from the active database. Protected backups may retain earlier copies until backup rotation; deletion is not immediate in backups. Contact app [@] langoflip [.] com with questions about remaining copies.
